B&W Casa

B&W
have developed the ultimate in 'invisible' sound. Casa simply caresses your
entire home with music. And it's right at your fingertips. That clutter
of amplifiers, receivers, cabling and speakers not entirely in keeping with
your lifestyle? It's a thing of the past. Instead, the source of Casa's
superb, all-embracing sound is tucked away out of sight. At one central
location, along with a master control unit, may sit your auto-change multi-CD
player, DVD unit, radio tuner and whatever equipment you wish to use. You
simply control all your music from a single, beautifully designed remote
control or from an elegantly discreet keypad. With the loudspeakers blending
faultlessly into the walls, throughout your house, in your living room,
your bedroom and even the bathroom, that's all you see of the B&W Casa
system. Think about your perfect home. Your personal decor for living -
encapsulated in the interior decor, furniture and fittings that you choose-
is uncompromised. As you move from room to room, simply engage the remote
control or use the discreet keypad. And with Casa active loudspeakers built
into wall or ceiling...only the wonderful sound tells you they are there.

Controller
|
| The controller is the
brain of the Casa system. Typically placed unseen alongside the source
equipment, it permits simple plug & play system expansion for up to 32
zones (or rooms). Source distribution is fully independent. The controller
transforms the mains-voltage power for the full Casa system of low-voltage
loudspeakers; allows for input of source equipment; and executes full
command and control from all keypads and hand-held units. |
|
Keypad
|
| You needn't worry about
a bewildering array of knobs and buttons. The elegantly discreet keypads
control all audio and timing functions with a one-touch operation. The
keypad also has an infrared eye, which can be controlled by the remote. |
|
Remote control
|
| The remote unit
provides the flexibility to access your Casa unit from anywhere in your
home. The remote unit replicates the major functions found on the keypad,
with an easy-to-use colour coded key layout. |
|
Interface
|
| Outside of a Casa
system the Interface is used to power a stereo par of Casa speakers. Three
Interfaces can be used with Casa speakers to create a surround system. The
interface also provides a way of boosting the power output of Casa to
allow very long cable runs or many multiple loudspeakers in a zone. |
|
ACM80
|
| The two-way speaker has
been designed as a space-saving, circular fixture suitable for ceiling,
wall or soffit mounting. This flexible unit employs 8inch bass/mid range
driver and a 1inch tweeter, on-board 30-watt amplification and heatsink
for dispersion. The speaker has a facility for a local input and can be
used as a master speaker in a subzone arrangement. |
|
AWM650
|
| Similar to the AWM70,
the AWM650 is a powered two-way design. A 6.5-inch Kevlar bass/mid-range
driver and 1-inch metal-dome tweeter are powered by two integral, 50-watt
amplifier employing active low-frequency equalisation. The front baffle
and amplifier heatsink are used for heat dispersion. The speaker has a
facility for a local input and can be used as the master speaker in a
subzone arrangement. |
